We will have another Q & A session coupled with using the computer to 1: find answers to questions asked and 2: to initiate some general web searches which will hopefully inspire us to ask more questions. Utilizing the computer during the meeting should provide an immediate step by step process for starting and or expanding our genealogical research.
The meeting will be from 10am to noon on March 15, 2013 at the Sea Breeze Recreation Center.
The Brygeboks I mentioned at today's meeting were commissioned by the farmer's wives association in Norway as an update. My one branch of my family Monsson or Munson emigrated with three children from Sogn og Fjordane. Lars E. Oyanne contacted members of our family in 1972. Original book was published in 1926. Oyanne updated and added husmannsaetter or crofter families. They were from Luster farms. My ancestors are listed in Vol I, II, III, IV, and V. (pub.1984-1994). Myself and siblings are the last generation published in these farm books. Other farms in Norway have done similar works.
